Winners announced!


Almost 200 guests attended a fantastic awards ceremony in central London yesterday to celebrate the incredible achievements of young volunteers.

 

Joined by Beverly Hughes - Minister for Children, Young People and Families and Gerry Sutcliffe - Minister for Sport, the guests were entertained by a samba band before the winners were revealed.

 

The winners of the 2008 Young Achievers Award are:

  • Nick Marshall (Environment 16-19)
  • Emma Fulwood (Environment 20-25)
  • Nathan Ball (Community 16-19)
  • Dean Kamanzi (Community 20-25)
  • Pip Goodwin (Arts 16-19)
  • Ryan Harston (Arts 20-25)
  • Gareth Swift (Sport 16-19)
  • Rikki Colegate (Sport 20-25)

 

Congratulations to all the winners, they each receive £1,000, a trip on the London Eye, RSA fellowship for a year, 12 months project support and 'money-can't-buy' prizes.

If you were on the longlist you will get a prize of £50 and also an invitation to our celebration event on the 27th March, where we will reveal who has won this years awards.
